Newark’s Summer Outdoor Dining Days

Newark’s Summer Outdoor Dining Days

August 21 / September 4 / September 18 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

This summer, Mayor Ras Baraka, will show that the City of Newark is the ultimate place for business and tourism. For three days this summer, the City will close the Ferry Street and Mulberry Street corridors (Mulberry Street between Lafayette Street and Market Street and Ferry Street between Wilson Avenue and Peter Francisco Park) for outdoor dining. Vehicular traffic will be prohibited during the outdoor dining day hours so that businesses can extend their services to the sidewalks and into streets.

We invite all eligible restaurants, cafes, and bars to sign up for Newark’s Summer Outdoor Dining Days. To apply, business must meet the following requirements:

  •   Mulberry Street – have an entrance facing Edison Place between Broad Street and Mulberry Street or Market Street between Broad Street and Mulberry Street
  •   Ferry Street – have an entrance facing Ferry Street between Wilson Avenue and Peter Francisco Park

If you are interested in participation in Newark’s Summer Dining Days, please fill out the attached application.
